Membership

Members have a significant role at Latitude Care Network, predominantly being able to vote for the volunteer Board of Directors at the Annual General Meeting. The Board of Governances ensures effective, transparent governance in the best interest of the organisation.

LCN is governed by the Board of Trustees who is also the Directors and Members of the Management Committees, comprising eight (UK) members and seven (Uganda) Members and three representatives from the three Local Partners in the Region of Northern Uganda. As a member, at the Annual General Meeting, you are able to vote both for the election of the officers (Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary and Treasurer) and ordinary members of the Board and on any issues when necessary. Should a Special General Meeting be convened and held, you will be eligible to attend, and vote on any issues at that meeting. As a member you are able to view any relevant documents that are not restricted by Privacy Legislation.  Upon becoming a LCN member, you will receive a membership package comprising:

• A copy of LCN’s Mission and Values Statement
• A copy of the LCN’s Membership Policy outlining Eligibility, Code of Conduct and Rights and Responsibilities of Members
• A copy of LCN’s Memorandum of and Article of Association 
• The latest LCN’s Annual Report
• A brochure about LCN’s services
• Your Membership Badge
• Quarterly LCN’s Activities Updates
• You will also receive an invitation to the Annual General Meeting.

The annual cost of membership is £10.00, renewable as of the 1st April each year. Alternatively you may become a life member upon payment of £200.00.
