The Charity Fun-Walk Event – Gladstone Park, Willesden   
On the 28th January 2009, LCN in Association with St. Gabriel’s (a local faith group) organised a Charity Fun-Walk Event at the Gladstone Park, Willesden Green to raise fund to support the people of Northern Uganda affected by prolonged civil war, poverty and other calamities.  The event was also aimed at highlighting and raising awareness and walked in solidarity with the people of Northern Uganda.  The walk was glamorously boosted by the appearance of Miss Uganda (UK) team and Contestants of 2009 who were generously sponsored by the general public for their participation and being such a good ambassador for good causes, on this occasion for the plight of the people of Northern Ugandan.  It couldn't have been a more perfect day with quite a big number of walkers who turned up to part in the the walk in the glorious sunshine weather conditions with the oldest walker over 85 years and the youngest 11 weeks old who were all generously sponsored to participate in the walk.  The event raised a significant amount of many which included tax reclaimed from HM Inland Revenue on giftaid donations.  All the proceed goes towards LCN Development and Rehabilitation programme in Northern Uganda, a fantastic achievement!
