Supporting the most Vulnerable, disadvantaged and Marginalised Members of the Society

LCN supports the most vulnerable disadvantaged and marginalised members of the society both in the (UK) London Area and elsewhere Africa, particularly (Uganda) and in the Region of Northern Uganda where it operates.
LCN approach to working with members of the society operates on five levels:

  • Lobbying, Campaigning and Advocacy for those without a Voice
  • Providing Direct Frontline  Services;
  • Prevention through Support while promoting Individual Independence;
  • Enlisting Clients, Community Involvement and Participation; and
  • Collaborative Partnership Working.

Our services are primarily delivered by qualified staff and over 50 trained volunteers both in the UK and Uganda who are managed by the co-ordinators.

LCN Support and Care Initiatives:

We care and support - people of all ages ranging from babyhood to old age of any background.

We care and support - people who are older/elderly living on their own or being cared for by institutions or family members.

We care and support - people who are disabled, living with life-threatening or terminal illnesses.

We care and support - people who want regular friendly company, discuss their fear or listen to, help with personal care, writing letters and many other practical assistance.

We care and support - people who want to be accompanied on hospital visits or social outings.

We care and support - people who live alone, or those with family members, friends or carers caring for them.

We care and support people who want help with putting their affairs in order.

We care and support - people going through bereavement of love ones.

We care and support - people affected by war, poverty, diseases and other natural disasters.

We care and support - individuals or organisations that provide services to meet the needs of vulnerable, marginalised and disadvantaged members of the society.

We care and support - the general public in need of assistance who are within our reach and we have the capacity to serve them.

We care and support - people who want to get involve and participates in their communities.
